Lauri L. – Account Manager
What is the role of a ROC Cleaning account manager?
Listening to the clients and doing everything I can to make sure their needs are met in alignment with the service we’ve promised. It’s my job to make sure clients and cleaners are set up for success.
What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
I really love talking with my clients and getting to know them. I’m a road trip girl and I’ve got clients all over the metro area, so every day is like a mini road trip – with snacks.
What is the funniest thing to happen on the job?
I’ve got a client who had some unidentified slimy substance on a floor. After talking about it, we’ve decided that he is secretly hunting ghosts and the substance is ectoplasm. This has turned into a hilarious running joke between us. In case you’re wondering, yes, ROC can clean that up!
Why should prospective clients choose ROC Cleaning over other cleaning companies?
Because the account managers are out there, in the field, every day – checking sites and making sure the work is being done and done right. This puts us in a position to be proactive and take care of any issues right away. If something isn’t right the first time, we get out there and fix it.
What in your work history prepared you for the role of account manager?
I have worked many years in customer service, management and leadership roles. In addition, I designed and managed a cleaner training program for another cleaning company. Once upon a time, I even worked as a cleaner. I think this makes me relatable when I talk with cleaners.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I garden, cook, and pretend I’m a photographer. I like taking long non-work-related road trips, hiking, foraging, and seeing live music. I spend as much time outdoors as possible.
